comes and goes
and brings its woes
and leaves my toes
cold
i curl up
under gifted blankets
of downy comfort
brown
and orange
in a robe of
blue
colored hues
of "why aren't you calling"
giving me the pinball
game
of thoughts
bouncing
off the flippers
of i'm not going to
think
about you
anymore
but then the silver
bullet
of reflection
bounces back into
the ping, ping, ping
of bonus point play

are everywhere
